今天敝會在勞工節周末的退修會裡，共計有156位大人小孩參加。但因為沒有請英語講員，所以英語會眾大約有34人留在教堂崇拜。如果明年勞工節，全體會友都一同參加，估計應該會有170-190人。為了讓大會在決定場地時，有一個比較正確的估計，所以向你呈報這些數字。

達福地區華人浸信會2008年（Labor Day）聯合退修會

報告：感謝主，本次退修會因有非常好的行政團隊¾¾佳樂頓華人浸信會的事奉，使整個營會進行得非常美好，眾弟兄姊妹都有同感，謹此向CCC致謝。為期節約會議時間，今天僅作營會缺失作討論，如在本次營會可改進的，改進之；若有建言，可留供下屆退修會參考。
討論與決議：
1. 大會經費：
‧ 本次退修會總計有265人參加。各教會應負擔及參加弟兄姊妹應繳付之金額，請及時交給CCC司庫趙燕姊妹。
‧ 對於各教會會牧在營會膳宿保險等實際需要由大會支應之原則，再作確認：1) 目的在對各教會會牧的尊重與禮遇。為什麼要對會牧禮遇？因為他們是神話語的傳講者及神使命所託付的人。對會牧伉儷的禮遇，其目的是為了透過這種禮遇，更好地讓神的話語及教導進入弟兄姊妹的心。
2) 教會無會牧，則供應代理會牧（代理會牧由教會書面認定）；但若會牧或代理會牧因故不參加營會，大會則不對教會提供此禮遇。
3) 各教會其他教牧同工若為大會事工負責同工，或擔任講員（如專題講員或英語部負責同工），亦由大會供應之。
4) 以上之供應僅及於伉儷，家屬所需，籲請各教會自行提供。

‧ 若營地Motel數不敷需求，爾後請行政單位預先在附近Motel預訂若干房間，議妥合適價格，提供與會者選擇，避免臨時訂房價格較高。
3. 達拉斯第一華人浸信會湯傳哲牧師已口頭表示明年將參加第14屆達福地區華人浸信會聯合退修會，仍請劉牧師代表本籌備會正式邀請之。
4. 明年（2009）退修會講員已邀請林永健牧師，並獲首肯確定。應達拉斯第一華人浸信會湯傳哲牧師建議：
1) 林永健牧師Pastor Brian Lam of Fort Bend Community Church, Missouri City, Texas，
2) 莊祖鯤牧師，
3) 黃小石長老，
及向榮教會建議4) 張伯笠牧師。
5. 明年退修會營地建議案（按照前後次序）：
A. 繼續租用Falls Creek Conference Center：查看鄰近Motel Room數。Private Room¾¾鄰近三間Motel共有65間房可租用（參附錄二），Falls Creek原有53間。另據悉，Falls Creek will build some new lodge that can hold 6 people per room。Dorm¾¾租用兩棟Dorm，一供青少年，一供成年人。（可避免吵鬧干擾）
B. 詢問Waco附近的湖景營（Lake View）。（2009年Labor Day已被預訂）
C. 租用一間大酒店或鄰近的數間Motel舉辦退修會，以敷Private Room的需要。
6. 改選明年（2009）第14屆籌備會召集人及行政教會：（日期：Sep. 5-7, 2009 Labor Day）
‧ 基於每人每次擔任兩屆之原則，明年籌備會召集人由榮耀華人浸信會劉再生牧師連任；行政教會由佳樂頓華人教會王保羅牧師連任。

Praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. May peace and joy fully be with you on your ministry or vacation. The Labor Day Joint Retreat is coming soon, there are less than three months, don’t you think it is exciting?Attachments are different files of the poster for your electronic file to post on web or send by email as the invitation. And I will also mail a hard copy of poster to your church shortly. Please encourage all the congregation of your church not only participate but also invite new friend to attend. I believe that it will be great benefit to them. According to the quote of Falls Creek Conference Center, the price of meal, motel rental and dormitory rental are the same as last year, but the registration/insurance of each person has been increased to 5.00 per person per day from 3.00. There for, this year, the retreat registration fee will increase 2-6 dollars. Hope you can understand the situation. For the registration form, it will be sending to your church before the end of June.

Since this will involve with many different church and brothers & sisters. I recommend with Flora's help let Yan
1. Create an Excel sheet to track the funds in and out details.
2.Also ask other churches give her the supporting details when they turn in their checks to CCC.
3.Keep copies of all the checks related to the Joint retreat which includes deposits and payments.
4. Have a binder keeps all the records include copy of the contract, e-mail, correspondence in this binder.
5. When the event is over, hand over this binder to whoever going to do for year 2009.

Just to confirm regarding the contract details. Jennifer confirmed that the contract only stipulates that after that date we will be responsible to pay that amount whether we use the camp or not. Therefore, we can pay the balance at the came. see her words below.

Concerning the dates on the contract, you DO NOT have to pay the $12,019 by July 31. Here is what that chart is saying in a different form:
If you cancel your event more than 90 days out, Falls Creek will refund your deposit 100%
If you cancel your event on or after June 1, Falls Creek will refund your deposit 50%
If you cancel your event on or after July 1, your group forfeits 100% of deposit and there will be no refund.
If you cancel your event on or after July 31, you will still have to pay the Guaranteed Minimum Payment of $12019.20
As I understand, a check for your deposit of $3,004.80 has been cut and will be sent to Falls Creek soon. The balance of $12,019.20 will be due when you are here for the retreat, August 30-Sept 1.
